𝑳𝒊𝒇𝒆 𝒊𝒔 𝒇𝒖𝒍𝒍 𝒐𝒇 𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒕𝒍𝒆 𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒑𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒆𝒔…
…and this weekend was no exception. Being a long weekend, we were treated by a welcome surprise of guests visiting the Garden Route – particularly those who wanted a much needed break from Cape Town. It is as if things are slowly but surely returning to normality. There is hope indeed! ️
What really caught our eye this weekend was this curious little gift left behind at the main entrance by one of our mystery patrons. At first glance, it looked like a beautifully painted rock reminiscent of Pet Rocks which were popular in the flower-power era. When we picked the rock up, the unique mystery unfolded. On the back is a little sticker which revealed this rock’s origin, with a unique name tag and the Cape Town Rocks page you can visit. The idea is that you hide the rock for someone else to find, and so the journey continues. It’s an awesome idea, and we agree – Cape Town does rock!
Our rock, called #NikkiG, will soon continue his journey further up the coast. We hope to get him safely as far as Richards Bay, and will continue monitoring his journey by following the tags. If you’re lucky enough to come across one of these gems , be sure to continue in the spirit and pass it forward ➡️.
To the wonderful guests who left us this beautiful surprise – thank you for brightening up our weekend. We’ll be sad to see him go, but alas, his journey must go on.
